Section 1, Immunization in Special Clinical Circumstances - Health Care Personnel

Immunization for vaccine-preventable diseases is an important precaution that health care personnel should take. Without such protection, health care personnel are at increased risk of contracting diseases from patients and, if infected, transmitting them to their patients. The following is a list of vaccine-preventable diseases of special concern to those people in the health care of children: rubella, measles, mumps, hepatitis B, influenza, varicella, pertussis, and tuberculosis.
