Did you know that Red Book Online is an approved source that may be searched through the new AAP PediaLink Internet Point of Care Search CME activity? The Earn CME link on every Red Book Online content page brings you to the PediaLink Internet Point of Care Search CME activity. From there, you can complete these 4 steps:
- Identify the clinical question that prompted your information search.
- Initiate and store results from searching content in approved resources, including Red Book Online.
- Once your search is complete, document the sources you consulted.
- List your expected application to practice in order to claim credit (0.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ per activity).
The PediaLink Internet Point of Care Search activity is available to all fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) as a free member benefit. If you are logged in as an individual on the Red Book Online site, you will automatically be logged in on the PediaLink site when clicking the link. If you are not logged in as an individual, simply sign in on the PediaLink home page, then click the "Internet Point of Care Search" tab in the top navigation to begin earning credit.
It's also easy to claim AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ through the Internet Point of Care Search CME activity even if you are not a fellow of the AAP through a cost-effective subscription to PediaLink, which opens up access to Internet Point of Care Search and other PediaLink features.
