Varicella-Zoster Infections

Varicella-Zoster Infections. A 10-month-old infant on day 5 of a hemorrhagic varicella rash. The infection progressed to Staphylococcus aureus toxin-mediated disease with hypotensive shock. The infant recovered with antibiotics and supportive care which included a short course of renal dialysis.
