Smallpox (Variola)
Smallpox (Variola). This child developed a secondary infection subsequent to having received a smallpox vaccination. Note the signs of cellulitis including spreading erythema that envelopes the smallpox vaccination site, swelling, and accompanying areas of cutaneous purulency, and sloughing of necrotic skin.
